Extremely comfortable helmet…side straps and the head securing system work flawlessly. The helmet is light and gives excellent ventilation. The bonus is definitely my piece of mind….I feel good knowing that I’m wearing the safest bicycle helmet money can buy. I don’t fully understand or see the full extent of the engineering that went into my helmet. But I know it’s there and I take comfort in that when I’m out enjoying my rides. So much of the bike industry is hype (aero claims), incremental improvement (frame weight reduction) and limited functionality (hookless wheels on skinny tired road bikes)—but this helmet is the real deal. Safe, well made, comfortable and good-looking.

I recently bought a PIKIO SI helmet and I really like it! It's obviously a very safe helmet based on the Virginia Tech testing, extremely light-weight and comfortable, and has tremendous air-flow while riding. I'm very glad I made the decision to purchase this helmet! I would recommend this helmet to others.

I purchased this after crashing on my bike and was likely saved from paralysis or death by my helmet. I wanted a safer one. The PIKIO is comfortable, cool, light. I hope to never find out if it's more protective than the last one; as testing says it should be.

Fit, finish is great! Hope I never have to experience a situation where I test the crashworthiness :). That being said, I respect the Virginia Tech Ratings. I replaced my POC with MIPS for the Pikio!

Unfortunately, the size L is too small for me, and there is no size XL.

I've ridden about 200km with my new Pikio Si. My head measured 58.6 cm and I ordered a large. The fit is good and the helmet stays solidly in place, but it does sit lower in both the front and back. In the front it extends a bit more into my field of view than my old Giro Aries.

I ride in Florida so cooling is a priority. The Pikio does not cool quite as well as the Aries but it is good. Loosening the fit by one click helps. It is very good about channeling sweat drips away from my glasses.

There is some wind noise but noticeably less than the Giro Aries.

Clearly for their first product, safety was priority #1 and cooling was likely #2. Those are my priorities as well and I am happy with the helmet.

This is an initial review. I will update after more use. I purchased two helmets, one for myself and for my wife. The packaging is simple and protected the helmet well.

The fitting instructions seemed a bit daunting at first, but after reading them carefully, they were clear and simple- and you should follow them exactly.

Once fitted properly, the helmet feels great, like it isn’t there. Super light, great ventilation. Beautiful finish. Sunglasses port actually works!

Really like it after my first ride of 45 mi.

Super comfortable and ultra light. My head was just on the top end of a small. Little to tight, they sent a replacement medium immediately. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks PIKIO for making a terrific helmet and providing great customer service.

I’ve had a previous concussion so eager to try a new helmet with such good Virginia Tech reviews. Excellent for what it is, a great commute, mountain bike, or casual ride helmet. The good forehead coverage becomes a hindrance when racing in the drops as it can obstruct your forward vision. Bought a second helmet for my wife.

I'm coming from a Specialized Tactic 4 that valiantly protected its wearer during a crash. This was a hard choice; while I usually ride road bikes, I prefer the increased coverage of mountain bike helmets. Like everyone else I am amazed by the safety test scores. Almost too good to be true! Another factor was the lack of availability of contenders like Canyon Defelectr RLS. Finally, I like Canadian origin of this helmet.

My self measured head is 58 cm, but had to bump up from size Medium to Large with the longer straps. The exchange was easy and customer service was great. The straps are a little weird compared to what I'm used to, they are mounted towards the outer shell, so there is an air gap under the straps near the ear. I found it harder than usual to adjust, but after putting in some effort I think I got it secure, and it feels fine when riding.

I hope this helmet has a long and boring life; thank you for making it. I'm hopeful that the underlying technology spreads to mountain bike helmet form factors in the future.

Without a doubt this is the best fitting, most comfortable helmet I’ve ever owned in about 45 years of wearing many different helmets, usually top end models from the best known brands. So it was a bit of a leap for me to purchase a new helmet from a new company that I’d never before heard of. The safety ratings from Virginia Tech were the key. Now that I’ve made the jump I have absolutely no regrets

I just ordered my second Pikio helmet, this time in white (I have the Gray). I really like the fit and feel of the helmet when riding. I got L (in both). I've found I'm on the edge between M and L in most helmets, but the L in this helmet is perfect for me. One point, someone commented that they wish the retention strap was closed with a magnet like some others. I have some others with magnets, and I greatly prefer the traditional clip style. The Pikio has a nice integrated flap of material that goes between the clip and under the chin, so it is particularly comfortable.
