The Helmet

Below are some common questions about our helmet

How often should a helmet be replaced?

It is recommended to replace your helmet every 3 years, even if it hasn’t been involved in a crash. If you've had a fall or the helmet has taken any impact, it's important to replace it right away. Even if there's no visible damage, the materials inside may no longer provide proper protection.

What happens if I accidentally remove the modular pieces?

Carefully, attach the modular piece snap pins to their retainers.

What should I do if my helmet gets damaged from a crash?

If requirements are met, we will provide you with a new helmet at a discounted rate through our crash replacement program.

How do I clean my helmet?

Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and warm water to clean only the outer shell of the helmet. Avoid removing the modular pieces or applying any cleaning agents to the EPS components. Do not use harsh chemicals or submerge the helmet in water. The fabric fitting pads can be removed, gently hand-washed, and air-dried before reattaching.

Does the helmet come with warranty?

Yes, the helmet includes a one-year limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, or regular wear and tear. For more information please refer to our warranty page

How should my helmet fit?

A properly fitted helmet should feel snug all around your head—not loose and not uncomfortably tight. Shake your head; if the helmet moves independently, it’s too big. Move the helmet with your hand; your scalp should move with it. Buckle the chin strap so it’s secure. Use the adjustment system for fine-tuning.

Read more on our Helmet Sizing Page.

Can I paint or modify my helmet?

No. Any modification or replacement of components will affect performance and void the warranty.

What are macro-cavities, and why are they important?

Macro-cavities are engineered voids integrated into the liner structure. They improve shock absorption while reducing material usage and overall helmet weight. When combined with the modular system, helmet ventilation also improves thanks to continuous, deep airflow channels throughout the helmet.

Shipping & Returns

Below are some common questions about shipping, returns, and exchanges

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Orders are typically processed and delivered within 2–5 business days.

Can I track my order?

Yes! Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to track your package in real time.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Be sure to keep your receipt or proof of purchase when making a return request. For more information please refer to our returns page

Do you ship internationally?

We currently offer free shipping within Canada and the United States. Shipping to other countries may be available. Please contact our support team to confirm availability and receive a shipping quote. Our helmets are CPSC certified. Please ensure that this certification is accepted in your country before placing an order.

How will my order be delivered?

We partner with reliable courier services to ensure your order arrives safely and on time. Once your package ships, you’ll receive tracking details so you can follow its progress.

I’m missing an item or received the wrong product. What should I do?

Please check your order confirmation to ensure you selected the correct product, size, and color. If the confirmation does not match what you received, contact us and we will resolve the issue as best we can for you.

Why haven’t I received my order confirmation?

You may have entered your email incorrectly, or it may have gone to your spam folder. If you still can’t find it, contact us with the buyer’s name, the email used at checkout, and the date and time of your order, and we’ll look it up for you.

OBLIK

Below are some of are some common questions about OBLIK.

What is OBLIK?

OBLIK™ is PIKIO LABS’ proprietary helmet impact-management technology designed to manage both linear and rotational forces during an impact. It uses a modular, dual-layer layer, dual-density structure that combines a base liner with independently moving shock-absorbing modules to better absorb and divert energy of impacts coming from any direction.

You can find our full explanation here: OBLIK .

How is OBLIK different from conventional helmet technology?

Traditional helmets rely on a single foam liner, sometimes paired with a slip layer, which can limit how complex impacts are managed. OBLIK™ uses a modular architecture with independently moving elements connected through a deflection-sensitive nodal system. This allows the helmet structure to respond more adaptively to the intensity, location, and direction of impact forces, helping manage both linear and oblique impacts.

What problem was OBLIK designed to solve?

Scientific research shows that both linear and rotational forces contribute to head injury risk. Conventional helmets are primarily optimized for linear impacts. OBLIK tries to tackle this limitation by reducing linear and rotational forces during impact without adding weight or compromising ventilation.

How does OBLIK work?

OBLIK consists of a base liner, independently mounted shock-absorbing modules, and flexible nodal connections. During impact, energy is absorbed through dual-density foam and macro-cavities, while modules move independently to reduce rotational forces transmitted to the head.

Does OBLIK make helmets heavier?

No. OBLIK is engineered to reduce overall helmet weight while improving impact management by placing material only where it is structurally necessary.

How does OBLIK affect ventilation?

OBLIK improves ventilation through continuous airflow channels, larger strategically placed true-vents, and reduced internal material blockage.

Is OBLIK a liner, an insert, or a slip layer?

OBLIK is a fully integrated impact-management system rather than a removable insert or slip layer similar to MIPS.
